This is your day!

A commitment ceremony is a public affirmation ritual in which two people declare their love and devotion to each other.  It is identical to a wedding ceremony in that the couple is often joined together by a religious or spiritual ritual with symbolic element such as the making of oaths and vows.  The difference is that it is not legally binding.  Generally, the couple is a lesbian, gay or transgender couple and are thus unable to marry under the law; however, this ceremony is available for any couple of any sexual preference.

A commitment ceremony may be religious or secular, formal and traditional or loose and unstructured - that will be up to the couple's own preferences.

While the commitment ceremony is not legally binding, it deserves the same planning as that of a traditional wedding ceremony - the booking and process for this ceremony is identical to my legal marriage ceremony.  Instead of a marriage certificate, a commitment certificate will be issued by myself after the ceremony.

The fee schedule and consultation will be similar to those of a traditional wedding.

Your commitment ceremony day is a celebration of your love and deep commitment to each other.  I do everything possible to ensure your personal wishes are respected and celebrated.

Call me at 414-550-2466  or email me to see if your date is open on my calendar and to set up an initial free consultation.  I will ask a few questions and if you live in the area I will arrange a meeting with you at a nearby location if the date and time is still open.  At this meeting we will discuss your ceremony and  begin the process of customizing the ritual to fit your unique needs.
